Report to the regulator
South Africa (FSCA): use the Complaints/Enquiries form on the FSCA contact page ↗, or call 0800 20 37 22.
UK (FCA): Report a scam to the FCA ↗. If you're in the UK, report to Report Fraud on 0300 123 2040 first.
If you paid by card or bank transfer, contact your bank straight away. Be careful of "recovery" firms that offer to get your money back for a fee; this is a common second scam.
